BUILD THE WALL WITHIN BY JEREMY NEWTON-JOHN Nehemiah departs after the great revival, only to arrive home to the same issues of faith and discipline that existed before. The reality is that the people of Judah had faith in Nehemiah rather than God, and the call to build the wall was never about a nation, but rather about a nation under God. Time for us to be ask the question: what is our faith in?
"OH NO!" ON THE PLAIN OF ONO BY ROBERT MULHEARN Nehemiah begins to receive personal threats and is called to Ono by to help 'resolve' the issues, but as a man of God he sees through the deception and compromises they are calling him and Israel to make and is indignant, responding "Oh No!".
REVIVAL BY WAYNE THORNTON Ezra is met by a people (of Judah) who have finished the wall and the temple, and now all they desire is the word as they look to celebrate their renewed connection to a God who kept his promise. A reminder that the word of God is what draws people, and brings great joy - enough to shout AMEN!
CONFLICT ON THE WALL BY ROBERT MULHEARN As the external threat extinguishes naturally through Nehemiah and Judah's faith, the issues now centre around an inward struggle as, like all family, tensions build in the camp over treatment of certain members.
WALL AT WAR BY ROBERT MULHEARN A wall under threat (not siege), as the fear of Judah's enemies begins to run rampant through the people. Thankfully, Nehemiah's faithful response keeps the people on track as he expertly tweaks his plan while faithfully keeping the goal unchanged.
GOD's STRUCTURE BY ROBERT MULHEARN It is time to examine the wall, to tabulate the cost and to make decisions in moving forward God's kingdom; as we learn from Nehemiah's example in allocating resources and diligently undertaking the work on a wall that symbolizes God's return to a lost world.
GOD's TIMING BY ROBERT MULHEARN The book of Nehemiah picks up in a darker period of Israel and Judah's history, as Nehemiah enquires into the state of Jerusalem only to find terrible news. But his response teaches us so much of God's amazing plan to work through simple, faithful obedience.
