He turns to using figurative language portraying those listening as sheep with a shepherd who herds and cares for animal along with a gate that determines entry to the pen and safe harbour when darkness comes.
AN ELUSIVE JESUS BY ROBERT MULHEARN Jesus responds to the people in the end of John 8 in a truly exceptional way, reminding us as readers that he is truly God and human. As his example points to his greater plan, his interaction with the blind man in John 9 stands as a great reminder about how we too need to see the bigger picture and refocus our attentions back to God.
KNOW YOUR ENEMY BY WILLIAM THORNE To go 'All In' for God means we must also understand our enemy. The bible tells us so much of what Satan does to tempt and destroy humanity but often disciples are left confounded when faced with his schemes - it is time to get awareness so together we can go in combat unified and offensive.
SEE HIS WORKS OR DO HIS WILL BY ROBERT MULHEARN To ensure we remain connected to Jesus we are called to remember Jesus simple teachings, that is not seeing him perform signs that make us believe but instead acting on his will by living out the scriptures and as we do we are clearly able to see the truth in what Jesus is doing in our lives.
BELIEVE IN THE ONE SENT BY ROBERT MULHEARN Jesus continues to push the people to believe in who he is, not simply in what he is doing. As he continues to shrink the crowd we are reminded that with hard teaching comes eternal life, and a relationship with God that can only be sustained by feeding on Jesus true teachings

SEEKING JESUS WITH OUR WHOLE HEART BY ROBERT MULHEARN Jesus escapes the locals who are trying to make him king, and again we are exposed to the deepest convictions of Jesus' heart, which is to give everything for us to know God. As he escapes to reconnect to God, his disciples and us as an audience are reminded though the cost is high, the surrender we face at the cross is worth our lives.
WAITING TO SEE BY ROBERT MULHEARN John again teaches us more about who Jesus is and his continued heart for a people who continue to look for signs and a new king rather a relationship with God. With an opportunity to teach a large crowd along with his disciples Jesus performs one of his greatest miracles.
